Life as a "Pentathlon"

If you are in the race, the goal is to win. If you are in pentathlon event, you have to win all. Losing any one of the events doesn't mean you are victorious. So as our life. We have personal life, family, work, church and community. If we do well in work but miss family time, we don't do well in life. Again, this is rather high calling and need enormous effort, dedication and responsibilities. Well, everyone has high calling. Some choose ignorance instead. At the basic, we are all stewards. We need to re-examine our roles (in that five areas) so that to bring out the essence of Christ. I'm a husband, father, son, friend, colleague and community member (Facebook....hehe). Inspired by Grace@Work, article titled Being Before Doing .

Of social networking and video streaming...

Finally I have succumbed to the popular social networking - Facebook. Yes, I may seem a bit too late to join the crowd but I actually have registered it since 2007. Then left it idle and unattended until recently when an old friend started again. It's quite addictive at some point but thank God I still can yield and resist the force....did I (I have also downloaded the mobile version in my phone)? I'm not alone. I found some Nav members within the group, friend's friends. And able to reconnect other long distance friends as well. It's quite a good tool. Now I don't mean to promote the site. You can choose to register other platform - Myspace, etc. They said there are 30 millions users in Facebook. Hmm.... By applying six degree theory, you are actually connected to Barack Obama within six friends connection. Then recently, out of sudden, Britain's Got Talent get the attention. A video performance of a contestant get viewed more than 10 millions in just a week

New destination

The day has come that baby Micah is leaving for Sibu. His mum will be with him for another month. The parents haven't decided when to have him back over here in PJ. Sept, Oct? Still thinking and deciding. Nothing is fixed. His mum said dad will be lonely and lost when everyone has left. True enough. When he got back home today, the house was so quiet. No baby's sound. No mums chatting. Well, life is more than that.

A month old

Happy one month birthday... He was tiny when born. Now ready to explore more.

Vista blue...

Occasionally I get the blue screen out of sudden. Vista crashed again. Been wondering is it hardware incompatibility problem or the OS is sucks. Next time I will buy Mac. This is how you will lose your customer. You also risk losing customer's friends. Thanks to blogs and review services, your customers will have lots and lots of friends around the world. Was bought at a price

So He was crucified on that day, two thousand years ago. Three days later He was risen. And because of this, we were bought at a price (1 Cor 6:20). This should reminds us not to waste our life or do something nonsense. Lately was quite indulged in cyber world until the TV and dvd player become insignificant (ever since signed up the home internet). So let's re-adjust the priority. Have some time to clear the clutter around. Not to forget to snap some work with the new toy. Happy Easter Sunday

Growing

At this stage, Micah's job is: eat, sleep, poo and be merry. Additional action: cry to tell everyone that he wants to eat or has pooed or don't want to be disturbed (especially during bathing and changing cloth).

Investment ?

A colleague said children are our greatest investment. True enough but he kinda view it from ROI (return of investment). If one invests more in his/her child, the more return he/she will get from the child in future (?). I like to think it as an assignment from God. We are therefore Christ's ambassador. Surely the reward will be given, but it's from Him. 2 Cor 5:20
