Sky mirror

Not long ago, we went to Sky Mirror, just off the coast of Kuala Selangor. According to the information from certain websites, Sky Mirror   is a mystery island that will only emerge for several days every month.  But you can go there everyday although the visiting hour might be different. We departed from Sasaran jetty around 6.30 am in early last July. Once we reached the spot, there were already a lot of boats with local tourist there. At that hour, water started to recede, forming a new land in the middle of the sea. As the land appears to be flat, you will have a good reflective water for photography - with your photography techniques. Well, basically photography is the only activity there. After all, this is the only place in Malaysia where you can have such natural effect besides the one in Bolivia.

National Planetarium

Haven't been to the National Planetarium for ages, so daddy brought the boys to the planetarium last week. Basically, our National Planetarium is very basic: a theatre dome and a small space for exhibition. Some of the exhibits included our national astronaut. Unfortunately, I couldn't find exhibit on our solar system. Hmm..... probably it's in the interactive exhibit? Inside the theatre dome The periodic elements No. 2 son posed with the space shuttle The entrance of the planetarium Photos were taken with iPhone 6s

Ripe for harvest

This was my second attempt of shooting in Sekinchan. Previous attempt was in December last year. Went there in the late afternoon. There was thunderstorm. No great photos taken from that last trip. This time a friend and I went there in the morning. The weather was good. We spent two hours in the field. Though not many photos shot, overall it was satisfactory.

Phalaenopsis

After a sumptuous lunch in Ulu Yam, we headed to Waltex Biotec, an orchid farm. Amazingly, there were a lot of orchids there, like a sea of flowers. This place marked the last destination of our Labor Day retreat.

Selangor State Park

If you take the road from Batu Cave to Ulu Yam, you will pass by Selangor State Park. A not-so-gorgeous place but good for weekend escapade. This is Sungai Tua. You can then head to Ulu Yam Lama for the famous Loh Mee. This is my first HDR photography. Needless to say, more practice is required. Done a few mistakes during shooting.

Dong Zen Temple

More photos from Dong Zen Temple... a place where it turns up to be a family-get-together event.

New year's eve in Dong Zen Temple

Some families would come here after their reunion dinner. This year the temple has Ferris wheel. And live broadcast by Astro and My FM too. Catch your luck if you would be picked for interview. We didn't. Happy Chinese New Year!

Broga Hill Jam-packed

This little hill in Semenyih will be jam-packed on every weekend and public holiday. The view is not quite impressive though. Just some ordinary shots to share when we were there on Diwali day.

Accidental finding

It was Friday and the friends decided to go to Putrajaya. Prior to this we wondered if there's any "pasar malam" in PJ on Friday night. Surprise - we found "pasar tani" night version in Putrajaya, just in front of government offices. And we were the only Chineses in that market (aside from a tourist couple). True....

How is our administrative capital?

Been to Putrajaya sometime few months ago. Initially went there to survey if the location is good for outdoor shooting. Too hot and too far. Yet it offers a good view and background photographing. As you can see, everything is BIG. There goes the money.
