Thesis Draft....

Have got back my thesis draft. It was a long wait indeed (after 7 months). Some of the candidates got theirs in a month. Talking about efficiency and luck. Well, I've got to do some correction in some of the parts. Not a big deal but it's a head cracking job as I've been "away" from academic writing for a long period.

Trip 04-06: Crazy drive to Penang

Drove up to Penang on Friday night (18 Aug) with Connie (Ad Di's gf). Had 3 stops and the journey took about 4 hours. Considering the distance between Penang and KL is about 320km, a good record for me (with 3 pitstops). Arrived in Vistana about 11pm and felt dead tired. Went for lok-lok near USM. Claimed to be good stuff and cheap price. Yeap, it was cheap but the food was so so only. Lots of students had late supper there. The next morning we had breakfast with Joshua. Went to nearby hawker center (SS2 look-alike) called Super Tanker. Tried the so-called famous char kuey teow. Disappointing though. Tried another stuff - chee cheong fun. Disaster...... Maybe we went to wrong place. I remember I had a good char kuey teow few years back in Georgetown. Seems like the quality of food is no more in Penang? After breakfast, went to USM to attend Ah Di's convocation. Self appointed to be official photographer for the graduate. Snapped some photos. Hehehe.... Noon time, lunch in near

Angels and Demons

After a month of struggling, finally I managed to finish "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. It shouldn't take that long. Particularly because the story is quite boring. I've read "Deception Point" which was quite interesting. Both novels have the same kind of story structure and flow. Worst, "Angels and Demons" could have similar pattern with "Da Vinci Code". One clue leads to another clue. And finally you found the non-suspecting guy is the bad guy. Well, from the title, one can guess the bad guy is actually a good guy in disguise. Or shall I say a bad guy in disguise? What have I learned from "Angels and Demons"? Vatican City and Bernini's work. Guess I have to stop reading novel for a mean time.......
