Nav Conference - 40th Anniversary

Some snapshots taken during the national conference in last October. (I was not the photographer as I didn't attend that conference)

God wants you to grow

Excerpt from the message preached by Rev Ho on this day: " Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." (Ephesians 4:14-16) 1. God wants us to grow towards spiritual maturity and become like Christ. (see Eph 4:15) 2. What is spiritual growth? (see 2 Pet 1:3-8) 3. Blood Diamond

What’s the story in the diamond? It is a symbol used in wedding. It represents luxury. It’s an art. No, I’m not hinting you that I’ve bought a diamond ring. It’s a good movie with commendable cinematography and good acting. We ought to learn to be a smart consumer. In this case, purchasing a non-conflict diamond. I don’t know how often you purchase diamond in your lifetime. For me it’s none but might be soon. Who knows? Blood Diamonds in Amnesty Magazine

Engaged

Great things to come.....

What I've planned for this year: - trip to Bali, Mt Kinabalu and perhaps The Philippines - look for new research topic and potential university - explore new opportunity in career (if any) - the wedding bell is ringing?

New Year Wedding

Went to Ipoh on New Year to attend Han Hung's wedding. The wedding service was conducted in Cantonese. Felt like transported to Hong Kong. Wedding lunch was good with lots of fancy video and photo presentation. Reached home around 9pm due to heavy downpour along the highway.

Don't look back....

Personal reflection for year 2006: - although I have completed the thesis, due to slow review from the examiners, it had my result dragged until this year (!) - time with God in the books of minor prophets - bible study "Dangers Men Face" and "More Than Money" have been fruitful and insightful - have been busy with job in the second half of the year - great trip to Laos and some local trips - no progress in new research topic :(
