Eulogy for mum

It has been a month since mom left this world. She left us on Sept 4th.  My only prayer is that she is with God’s beloved on the other side of heaven. She was a hardworking, always making sure her children sufficiently nourished. Your love and sacrifice will be remembered.

Legoland and Universal Studio Singapore

It's year end school holiday again. Since we didn't have any overseas trip for 2018, we decided to venture to the south - Johor. Obviously the place of interest was Legoland since the kids were coming along. We also went to Universal Studio Singapore (USS) for a day trip, arranged by the resort we stayed. The kids like Legoland than USS because there's hands-on activities there (building Lego blocks). They also enjoyed the Ninjago ride. As for USS, we like USJ more. However, USS didn't disappoint as well. We like the Transformer ride and Jurassic adventure ride. Unfortunately, there's no Harry Potter theme there. The disappointment of the trip was the long queue at Woodlands checkpoint. I think the Singaporean government should do something about it. The queue was smooth at Malaysia checkpoint though. 8 years old

No. 1 son's 8th birthday celebration.... We just had a simple cake. And he had an expensive gift from grandma.

Universal Studios Japan (Nov 2016)

Some say the happiest place on earth is at Disneyland. Well, since we haven't been there, we can't affirm that. At the moment, Universal Studios Japan seems to fit that tagline as well. Initially, we were torn between Tokyo Disneyland and USJ. In the end, we chose USJ because of its relevancy to the kids (they only know Mickey and friends in Disneyland, but they know a lot more in USJ - Spiderman, Sesame Street, Hello Kitty). We went to the USJ on the second last day of our trip to Japan last November. We bought the evening ticket, thought the full day ticket might be too overwhelming to the kids. But we were wrong. We could actually spend the whole day there. The parents enjoyed the Spiderman ride though. But the kids were terrified; after all it was their first time in such 4D or 5D ride. The show in Shrek was not that bad either. And because it was near Christmas season, the best part was the live performance in the evening - The Voice of an Angel. You could actually watch t...

Putrajaya Floria Festival 2014

There was a flora and garden festival in Putrajaya recently. So we went there at night to check out what's up there. The kids enjoyed themselves although we didn't get to the place of fireworks display. And the kids liked to pose their cheeky faces while being snapped. They must have learned it from the school. Probably will go there again next year.

Big boy's birthday

Not long ago, we celebrated no. 1 son's birthday. He's 3 years old now. A big boy. Still there's a lot of things for him to learn. Time will tell.
