Questions that unfold your life

One of the best movies. The story line is good and fresh. It unfolds the background of the main actor (Jamal) through a series of flashback and the game questions. Strange....as the game questions are revealed one by one, so as the life of Jamal. It chronologizes the event from childhood until present. I find it very unreal as the game questions try to keep up with the life event of Jamal (sort of), in a chronology manner, except for the last question. The game show reminds me of a favourite game show few years back. Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Oh, mind you, this is not your ordinary Hindi movie with lots of dancing and singing. They do dance and sing, only at the end of the movie. Just a token of celebration since all Hindi movies end with hope and joy (maybe I'm wrong). p.s: While watching this movie, a series of image from National Geography flashed through my mind as if I've been to that place before.

Questioning the worthiness

Found this one while cleaning and clearing up the mess. Why still keeping it? Is it still worthy to keep? It's like employees being considered by employers if they should be kept. That's life and business. Sometimes no sentimental is needed. No grace and cruel. But by faith we live in present and future to come.

Living backwards

When you are living backwards, physiology development in reverse i mean, will you live in fullness? Just imagine, borne as an old infant. As you grow, you become adult and finally you reach teenager. Then you die as a baby. This is what happen to Benjamin Button's life. How odd it is if this is our life. Body doesn't decay but enrich towards the end of life. But the truth is, our body will grow old - consequence of sins from Adam? Compare the previous works between this movie director and the lead actor ( Fight Club and Se7en ). Seems getting better in terms of idea, plot and act. Just personal opinion.

That Chinese New Year (3)

Visited some friends' houses in Seremban...

Good things about sleeping late

There were some researches done on people's sleeping pattern. They found out.... (1) People perform well and more alert if they sleep TEN hours a day. (2) People who stay late have more creativity. Now you know why writers and bloggers stay up late until early morning. (3) People who rise up early are more stressful as stress hormone cortisol peaks around 7am. So better wake up at noon. That Chinese New Year....

First day, we ate, drank, play and be merry. We went for karaoke in the morning. Found out only two group of customers (included us). Then we got extra 1 hour free. But sang for 3 hours were too much for us.

Method of naming

1. Naming after generation names (family genealogy name - 家谱 ) 2. Names which expresses the hopes and ideals of the parents 3. Names with interesting meanings 4. Pictorial names / scenic names 5. Names using Chinese symbols 6. Profound names 7. Naming after special events 8. Naming through dreams 9. Admiration for prominent people 10. Naming using Chinese proverbs 11. Naming by the number of strokes theory 12. Naming by the Five Elements theory (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) 13. Naming after time and year of birth The husband family side uses JiaPu 家谱(records of genealogy and family rhymes / poem) to devise the second character of a name. According to someone’s research, the next generation of male child should have 繁 (Farn) as a second character. The last character is still opened for selection though.
